Foil Lids for Plastic & Aluminum Capsule Pods
Different capsule systems require different foil structures. We do not offer one-size-fits-all aluminum lids. Instead, we recommend optimized foil thickness and material structures based on your capsule type, machine compatibility, and brewing requirements. Selecting the correct aluminum foil thickness directly impacts puncture performance, sealing strength, and brewing consistency.
Tea capsules typically require easier puncture performance during brewing.Because the aluminum lids must be pierced smoothly inside the machine, generally recommend a thinner aluminum foil structure commonly around 20 micron.
Aluminum coffee capsules are commonly produced in 34mm and 37mm diameters, depending on the capsule system used.Foil thickness selection may vary according to the customer’s coffee machine specifications. However, in most applications, the commonly used aluminum foil thickness is 20micron and 30 micron.
K-Cup systems on the market today are primarily 2.0 versions, which require enhanced barrier performance.Due to their special oxygen and moisture protection requirements, laminated aluminum foil structures are typically used for sealing.Generally recommend aluminum foil thickness 36 micron.
